May 2026
Email invoicing during the trial
Every account now includes 25 invoice emails per rolling 30-day window. Send invoices directly from VenueBill during your trial. New accounts under 14 days old also have a 5-emails-per-24-hours cap as a fraud guardrail; it lifts automatically at day 14.
Simpler signup flow
This historical signup flow has been superseded. New trials now require a card on file before the 14-day trial begins, and paid billing starts automatically when the trial ends. Phone verification is not part of the current signup flow.
Looser password rule
New passwords now only need 8 characters with at least one number. We still check against public breach lists. Old passwords from the previous rule keep working, no reset required.

Customer Tags
Organize your client list with colored tags. Create tags directly from a client detail page, pick from 10 preset colors, and manage all tags from Settings. Tags appear as colored badges on your client list for quick visual identification.
SMS Notifications
This historical release is not part of the current production offering. VenueBill currently sends email reminders; public product copy does not promise SMS delivery.
On My Way Button
A large amber button on sent invoices lets venue teams notify couples and vendors when they are on the way, with an optional ETA (10 min to 1 hour). It is useful for venue tours, walkthroughs, and event-day arrivals. After sending, the button shows how long ago the client was notified.
Google Review Requests
Request a Google review from clients after they pay. Add your Google review link in Settings to enable a manual request button on any paid invoice. Pro users can also turn on auto review requests so the request goes out automatically after payment (Pro).
Estimate Follow-Ups
Automatically follow up with clients on estimates still awaiting approval. Enable auto follow-ups in Settings or send a one-off follow-up from the estimate detail page. A badge on the estimate shows when the last follow-up was sent (Pro for auto follow-ups).
Pipeline Renamed to Status Board
The kanban view for estimates and invoices is now called Status Board. The URL has changed from /pipeline to /status-board; the old URL redirects automatically. No other changes to how it works.
Price Book Renamed to Saved Services
The Price Book is now called Saved Services. It also has a new Browse Templates feature: pick from pre-built service templates organized by industry and import them into your account in one click.
Free Guide for Venue Teams
A new free resource at /free-guide walks wedding and event venues through seven ways to earn more qualified inquiries, from venue directories and reviews to tours, deposits, and payment schedules. No account required.
Savings Calculator
New interactive tool that estimates how much time and money you could save by switching to VenueBill - based on your current invoicing volume and hourly rate.
Venue-focused booking resources
Added dedicated pages for wedding and event venue teams, covering the booking, deposit, payment-schedule, and client-communication workflows they manage.

Automated payment reminders
Set up automatic email reminders that trigger before and after an invoice due date. Reminders are sent from your Mailgun-configured address so they land in inboxes, not spam (Pro).
Client portal
Every client gets a dedicated portal where they can view all invoices, download receipts, and pay outstanding balances - no login required, accessible via a secure link.
October 2025
Online payments via Stripe
This historical release has been narrowed to online card payments. VenueBill does not currently offer ACH checkout; off-platform bank transfers can be recorded manually. Stripe payouts go straight to the venue account (Pro).
Estimates
Send professional estimates to clients before starting work. Clients can review and approve estimates from a public link - no account needed. Approved estimates feed directly into invoicing.
